Continuing Education (CE) is the step from depth of clinical reasoning to trained levels of complexity.
The following is counted toward theĀ 40 hours (20 structured, 20 unstructured) required by an active chiropractic orthopaedic fellow.
12 hours for teaching an orthopaedic post-graduate module or an undergraduate orthopaedics program at an accredited College or University.
20 hours for publishing a paper in a refereed, peer-reviewed, or approved journal (must include a review of the literature).
10 hours for a pertinent book review or authorship of an online educational program in orthopaedics.
10 hours for acting as an examiner at the Canadian or National Boards or for representing our college in these organizations.
1 hour for attending the AGM.
12 hours for acting as a tutor for an undergraduate orthopaedics program.
10 hours for functioning as a peer reviewer for a peer-reviewed journal when related to orthopaedics.
30 hours for acting as an examiner at the American Board of Chiropractic Orthopedists or Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedists.
10 hours for sitting on the editorial board of a refereed, peer-reviewed, or approved journal.
Up to 3 hours for Mentorship of Doctors of Chiropractic or other Fellows with a letter of acknowledgement from the Mentee.
Structured hours must be proven with an official certificate confirming hours attended from the following list.
